You probably know about the events in Israel and Gaza.  We need your prayers:

Gaza is a narrow strip of land 25 miles long and from 3.7 to 7.5 miles wide.  Gaza city has a density of 9,683 people per square kilometer, making it one of the most densely populated cities in the world.  It has an unemployment rate of 46.4%.  It has been described as an open air prison.

Pray for our church people and elders in Gaza.  Christians in Gaza have been sheltering in two churches.

Pray that aid gathered for the truly needy souls in Gaza will get there and not fall in the wrong hands.

Pray for the children and their families that Pastor Kakish and his wife Sharon raised in the boys’ home.

Pray for the children that we support.

Pray for the Pastors to continue preaching and teaching under difficult circumstances.

Pray that the Lord would intervene and stop the plans and actions of anyone who would seek to increase hatred through quasi-legal means, and those that would increase the hatred and rancor through violent actions. We recognize that all men are brothers, and the death of any man in violent actions diminishes us, for we are a part of mankind (John Donne, author).

We recognize that there is only one name under heaven whereby we might be saved, and that we need to accept Jesus in this lifetime.  If either side controls the land from the Mediterranean to the Pacific but does not have Jesus, it is all for nothing.

Again Lord, we pray for the salvation of Abraham’s children and we pray for both peoples.
